My name is Chris de Vries and I reside in Berlin, Germany. I spent the first part of my life in Australia but disliked the heat. I am currently a software engineer and have also worked in network engineering roles.
I completed a Ph.D. in computer science at the Queensland University of Technology in 2014. I researched in fields such as Information Retrieval and Machine Learning but I have a general interest in all matters related to computing. You can find my Ph.D. thesis on QUT ePrints.
When I am not up all night hacking code, I like to do things such as running, cycling, and playing around with digital audio workstations.
